Bologna stayed in touch with the Serie A leaders, drawing level with Juventus and Lazio on 20 points, after beating Torino 1-0 on Sunday. A Renato Olive goal settled the tie but the margin of victory should have been greater as Bologna missed a number of clear cut chances in the first half. Olive broke the deadlock after five minutes, guiding a Lamberto Zauli free-kick past the despairing dive of Luca Bucci. Francesco Guidolin's men should have increased their lead soon afterwards but Julio Cruz was twice foiled by Bucci when clean through. The second half saw Torino fight back and Gianluca Pagliuca had to be at his best to deny Marco Ferrante's volley. Fabio Gallante also came close for Torino before Cruz missed another chance to make it 2-0 to the hosts. Gallante then squandered the visitors' last opportunity of the game as Bologna held on to claim all three points. | ![](/imagelib/sitebuilder/layout/spacer.gif) |
